Manasota ARC was established in July, 2000 to provide quality,
individualized services for persons with developmental disabilities
throughout Manatee and Sarasota counties. We have grown from
serving 22 individuals to over 200 adults with developmental
disabilities daily. The cornerstone of Manasota ARC is it's valued
role of family, guardians, funders, friends, and donors. They play a
crucial role in advocating not just for the agency, but for all people
with disabilities.

Manatee Children's Services was founded by matching grants from
the Aurora Foundation and the Selby Foundation in 1977. Since that
time, due to the growing needs in our community MCS has
expanded to 11 programs touching the lives of over 18,000 children
and families annually. MCS operates the only Emergency Shelter in
Manatee County for children who are removed from their homes
due to abuse, abandonment and/or neglect.

Manasota BUDS is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that
provides programs, services, and support to individuals with Down
syndrome and their Families in Sarasota and Manatee Counties in
Florida. Our mission is to provide families with a neutral and
supportive forum for sharing and networking, and to promote
understanding and acceptance of Down syndrome. Membership is
free and our programs and services are free to members.
